About Me

Hello. I’m Andrea and I’m passionate about helping small businesses tell their stories to connect with the right people.

My 20 year career has spanned media and PR and I’ve won awards for my work.

I’ve worked for news organisations including the BBC and as a business correspondent for the daily press and I’ve held senior communications roles in agency and the charity and education sectors.

That’s given me valuable insight into how the communications industry really works.

I’m committed to using my expertise to help clients secure profile-building coverage so they can thrive.

Since setting up my own business I’ve helped a wide range of small businesses with their communications so I’ve plenty of experience to support your PR needs!

I’ve been awarded chartered practitioner status by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. That shows I’ve demonstrated the highest standards of professional excellence and integrity, two of the qualities I strive for every day in my business.

I run a small business. Why do I need to think about PR and publicity?

Most businesses spend lots of resource on digital marketing and social media platforms. Of course that is vital in today’s online world.

But building authentic relationships with the right people is about more than just the algorithm.

When people understand more about you and your story it builds trust and enhances your reputation. That’s what PR is all about.

PR can be a game-changer for your small businesses if it’s done right because of the credibility factor of being featured in the media.

If you are looking at how to boost your SEO one of the key things you need to think about is digital PR.

Backlinks from websites with a high level of authority like reputable news sites are extremely powerful to Google rankings and who doesn’t want that?

I will work with you to make sure your PR efforts co-ordinate with your business objectives and align with your digital marketing strategy.

Why I am the right person to help you with your PR?

I’ve worked with lots of big businesses and organisations and I’ve seen the impact of PR. But few smaller organisations really take advantage of the opportunities available to raise their profiles.

If more entrepreneurs knew about the power of PR and understood that it was not something just for those with big budgets it would make a real difference to them.

PR helps tell your the story of your brand and shows your personality and expertise through platforms like media interviews, opinion pieces, podcasts, guest blogs or partnerships.

It can feel overwhelming getting started but it’s well worth the effort as you start to build credibility and trust as well as awareness.

My range of services equip clients with the knowledge that PR is absolutely within their reach.

Together we’ll come up with a clear plan to start seeing results.

  • “With a real understanding of our mission, Andrea devised an integrated communications campaign for Workplus which made sure we reached our target audiences to build vital relationships. She secured high profile interviews and thought leadership columns in key media in Northern Ireland to grow public awareness of the benefits of Workplus apprenticeships for young people, businesses and society. Thanks to her efforts we were also thrilled to feature in national media including ITV Evening News, The Guardian and FE News. The work that we are doing has been given extra credibility and a great profile through investing in PR.”

  • “Andrea did a wonderful job getting media attention for the book. I lost count of how many media outlets covered my story thanks to her work! I did interviews with several radio stations including the BBC, at least four daily newspapers and countless features in media across Ireland and beyond. I can’t thank her enough as I know it has generated many more sales. This means that I will be able to afford the expensive rehab I need and a device for my leg to enable me to run a leg of the Belfast Marathon some day. What also means a lot is that the media coverage has led to a better awareness of locked-in syndrome which will hopefully make a difference to patients and those caring for them.”

  • “I could not recommend a 1:1 PR Strategy for Success session with Andrea more! It was SO helpful. So many ideas and such encouragement – she really knows her stuff! She knows so much how PR can help small businesses and has lots of brilliant ideas, all while being so encouraging to a complete PR newbie like myself! Following our session last week, I wrote some pitches. One of the publications has already featured me, another piece of coverage has been secured for next month and I’m fired up to keep pitching some of the other ideas we discussed!”
